this is new smyrna beach and we have that person that sends us pictures all the time at the beach and bicycling and thought you' d enjoy that with the nice break in the day. talk about what' s going to happen today. today we show the radar and move that out of here and then start to bring out clearer skies but the sun never really takes over and pushes the temperature too much. we have windy conditions with once the sun goes down, the temperatures start dropping. and it is 40 and maybe 38 in the gainesville area and this is what' s developing right now as far as the weather picture. you can see that one little shower down here moving across polk county and continue to stream in across the gulf of mexico and that will be a bit of a problem until the strong north westerly wind to flush all this out of here with the gusts and winds typically 10- 20 and gusts up to 25 mph so it' s not a great beach day. right now temperatures 68- 69 and they' ll only get 3 warmer than that and that wind factor through the afternoon. projecting it out, 9:00 and that might be the real rain shower we' re loo
